Becoming A Member
Joining RRHA of Illinois gives you a voice in the affordable housing industry. RRHA works for the owners and management teams in communication with USDA Rural Development, HUD, IHDA and other government programs.
Industry Knowledge
RRHA of Illinois is dedicated to its membership and advancement of affordable, multi-family housing by providing up-to-date industry information, educational seminars, our Annual Conference, and meetings with government officials.
RRHA Education Fund
Through the Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln, RRHA provides donations to charitable purposes such as schools and local social programs in the rural communities our members serve.
Recognizing Achievement
RRHA ofIllinois acknowledges a membership professional who excels in their contributions to RRHA of Illinois and to their RRHA membership company/housing authority and their property residents, in a given year.
The RRHA of Illinois Barb Schlaefer Award recognizes one’s involvement, commitment and achievement. Recipients exemplify professional excellence and is a role model to the membership entity staff and residents.

Since the Fund opened in 2015, we’ve contributed to nutrition, park renovation, housing, utilities, mentoring services, transportation, and education services to over 2500 needy individuals.
